Why BITE?

"Having followed T-Bone's career from Redeemed Hoodlum to GospelAlphaMegaFunkyBoogieDiscoMusic...I have to give him his propers for tight production and flows for the most part. However, what really weighs on this release, and on his first releases, is his tendency to mimic, rather outright BITE concepts and lyrics from secular hip hop artists. For instance, on Redeemed Hoodlum and Hoodlum's Testimony he's doin' Cypress Hill, on Hoodlum's prayer he's doin' a lil 2Pac & Method Man, on Last Street Preacha he's doin' his own thang, but on GAMFBDMusic, he's bitin' Snoop from start to finish. Now I love my brother-in-Christ all the way, and I acknowledge the fact that he's one of holy hip hop's pioneers and one of it's hottest lyricists...however, it's because he's so unique and so skilled that I have to come down on him a lil for goin' Christian Snoop on e'rybody. Another sure shot for the speakers, and funky out this world, but his most original works to date are on The Last Street Preacha and even on the one joint he did for the Hero:The Rock Opera soundtrack(Raised In Harlem). To Bonie Bone: Let God Use You & BE YOU!"
Good Stuff

"T-Bone has done it again. This latest release is good stuff. The Last Street Preacher will aways be tuff to beat but this comes awfully close. The only problem with it is it doesnt have enough tracks on it, so it leaves you thristy for more. I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the record could use a couple more songs glorifying the Master. Nevertheless the king of gospel hip hop still rules. I read a couple reviews giving this record a 1 star and a 2 star. I don't know what plantet these guys live on or what they expect. One review says T is not original enough and comes down on him for biting on other rappers; but please, be serious. Even Snuopp Dog got and gets his influence from others. The whole hip hop game is like any other music genre, it's one big circle, there are no pure originals. who's copying who? Everyone is biting each other, to include Dr Dre. But you must admit there is one thing T has that is hard to match: there are precious few who can flow as fast and as clear as the Boney Bone. As soon as you can but this."

"Really this album cool but it's the same T-bone we know and respect some what but the funk thing I'm feelin, the history track is nice, and blazin' mics the ablum is not bad but I expected more."
