Synopsis

Album Description
This 2005 cd reissue compiles the complete recorded works of Superette - including the Tiger album from 1996, the Rosepig EP and the Touch Me single b-sides, all remastered onto one disc. They formed in 1995 and were featured in Pavement magazine very soon after. The Rosepig EP was released to massive critical acclaim, followed by the Tiger album in 1996. When the band went their separate ways, David recorded and released his solo album 'Oddy Knocky' on Arch Hill in 1998. It was Arch Hill's first release.

CD Reviews

One of the best bands out there!

"I feel sorry for people who haven't heard SUPERETTE. It's too bad more people don't know about them, because they're so incredibly talented. This is a great CD of theirs with a lot of stand out tracks: "Saskatchewan" is my favourite song of all time. The riffs and the drum on it are awesome. "Waves" is a slower, more melancholy song and is truly beautiful. Also, "Killer Clown" is a great track. SUPERETTE has a great way of telling a story with various styles of music. It would be a great idea for you to check this out. It's something that needs to be heard. Thanks."

"One of the masterpieces of the 90s!!. Tiger catches you immediantley with its great riffs hooks and pop. From the poppiness of "Touch Me" to the riff laden "Saskatchewan". Superette, calms, soothes with some beautiful melodic tunes. I will say this is my most played album of the 90s!!!, Great vocals with Mulcs, Greta and Ben all combining duties. If you like Superette's Tiger I suggest you get their "Rosepig" Ep as well and the "Touch Me" single as every Superette song is a marvel. I have the whole lot , but somehow this is NOT ENOUGH!!
We want more SUPERETTE!!
So If your tired of those...manufactured "alternative" bands give the Rette a whirl!!, original and delightfull!!"
