"some of the hippest cats in nyc (with relations to no neck, new world of sound records, etc) make some of the most unhip music you could make at this point in time. for a point of reference, how about black oak arkansas? yeeeeha. shoulda seen the faces of the hipster doofi when suntanama, opening for smog, asked the bowery ballroom if anyone would like to hear something from the band (the band, the BAND [Danko, Robertson, et al], not their own band, dig?). coulda dropped a pin and heard it in the balcony. ha! the kids are too hip for their own good. suntanama a gonna cure em of it."

"Did the No Neck Blues band have a conjugal visit with the Ohio Players? I don't know for sure, but one could speculate that this is the six-toed love child of Palace Brothers (at their happiest) and Royal Trux (at their grooviest). From Drag City - what other label could deliver such - is a band that you've never heard making music that has seeped out of the pores of liqour'd up country boys for generations...except that these county boys come from NYC. Acoustic ummm,..errr..pigf'ing rock music with a Stax groove. "Sunset Samagain" jams along like the ghost of Duane Allman covering a Rapeman tune. We're having a hootenanny!"
