"Like Iced tea with mint on a hot afternoon of lovemakin with a red boned sun faced young bird. This my friends is why we own genitallia. Now I dont care if youre hangin low or sneekin round the corner this hits you in the funk spot. That extra soul style love smak that makes you want to get that booty doin somethin. This is what the kids in our massive metropolis-es should be havin premarital sex to...not that puff daddy uncle tom sting sampling M/F er . Smart, nasty soul from a few brothers who look more seedy than a fruit stand. Long live Mr. Smith....put mine root down. Dj. Teks"

"If you like funk, this is a great recording to pick up. A more modern influence in the way the drums are mixed, but overall very vintage sounding, and the band is amazing. Great hooks, fat beats, and tasty solos...what's not to like?"

"One of the funkiest acid jazz CD's I've ever heard. Plenty of itching to keep you scratching. It will trap you in its grooves and catapult you from your seat. Plenty of sax and Hammond B-3 solos, and some flute (nice touch!). Get all the albums by Sugarman 3 if you are into acid jazz; pure Cane Sugar is as good."
