"Actually this particular CD is not a hip hop act named Onyx. It is a fabulous reissue of Stuff Smith's Onyx Club Boys from the 1930's -- back when popular 'race' music was thoughtful and artful.For anyone interested in the amazing jive of this era, this CD is an excellent purchase. For fans of Joe Venutti style jazz violin, it is essential. Worth the import price, despite the absence of the I'se a Muggin; which never fails to make me feel like a kid again. Stuff's warm gruff vocals remind me of an even more unrestrained Louis Armstrong."
