Perfect Burleske version
Bach H. Nguyen | MA | 10/18/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"There are many famous pianists have played Burleske: M. Argerich, G. Gould, F. Gulda, R. Serkin, or D. Barenboim, but I still choose and want to recommend this CD because of the way Richter playing. As you know, Burleske is hard because of the difference between pitches. The energy has been accumulated and become fierce waves with very high speed. And you will see here how talent when Richter controled the speed and force. Beside, orchestral parts are great, too, especially Der Rosenkavalier by Gennady Rozhdestvensky.

This CD' sound is good, compare to some other vesions of Richter, like old Soviet CDs, but the the price is a little expensive. You can find this CD in iclassics, russianclassicalmusic, or Yedang for better price."
