The three Italian dj-producers who brought us Jestofunk have updated the Jazz-Funk genre for the millennium with there side project Stato Brado I first heard tracks from this album by English dj Eddie Piller (Acid Jazz) a few years ago, then spent the next two years on a quest to track this CD down. I think he described the music as Future Funk. Others might call it a funk-jazz-techno dance album. It doesn't matter what label you put on it, the music on this album is incredible. The best way I can describe it is to say it's like Herbie Hancock & James Brown going out for a drink with the Chemical Brothers and ending up at Cream on a Saturday night." |
