Phenominal!

"This is the true essence of what made Leopold Stokowski famous. A rich, warm sound and 100% Romantic!The sound of the orchestra is absoultely extraordinary, despite an occassional "sloppy entrance". Yet while we have the ability to generate "computer accurate" music recordings, this is certainly not what true art is about. I have yet to come across a CD that has the ability to generate a greater emotional response than this one. Highly recommended!"

"This cd contains what is possibly the most exciting, emotionally charged version of Tanhauser available! Not to mention the absolutely brilliant version of Lizt's Hungarian Rhapsody. Stokowski pulls and pushes the tempi that it makes the rhapsody wonderfully exciting. The sonics are brilliant, warm and full of presence! The Moldau is another great performance, possibly the best available. Those who admire Bernstein's Moldau on Sony, hear this one, and you'll never go back to Bernstein! No blaring mention Bernstein piccolo in this recording! Highly reccomended!"
