Longtime fore-runners of the emo/hardcore scene, Still Life have been playing their distinct brand of emotive hardcore for more than a decade. The Incredible Sinking Feeling, their third full length (and tenth release), bends and weaves through their patented melodic hardcore, loud-to-quiet sound, with an added influx of external influences such as Tom Waits, Uncle Tupelo, and Johnny Cash. Though definitely a hardcore album, it is the most realized representation of their varied influences and unique styles, while still maintaining the honesty inherent in both lyric writing and sound that the band is known for.
