Underrated Singer
Gennie Bailey | Savannah, Georgia United States | 09/09/2001
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Steve Wariner has long been underrated in the country world. He's had countless number ones and top ten hits, but yet, he's not the superstar like Garth or Alan or George. Instead, he's been intent laying low, making great music and not worrying about selling records. The best of those hits are on this CD. The CD starts out with "What I Didn't Do", about taking granted of love. Other tracks include the haunting "Come Home To You", "Love Of A Small Town Girl", the classic "Life's Highway", "Where Did I Go Wrong?", "Some Fools Never Learn", and "I Should Be With You", a song written for his wife when she was pregnant. This is a wonderful addition to any country lover's collection. The record is a fantastic set of his earlier hits and is highly recommended. Steve's a super-nice guy with a killer set of pipes. It's a shame that he hasn't won more CMA's. His humbleness in a world of superstars is what keeps him a fan favorite time and time again.Gennie Bailey-Rogers"
