"stevie marriott the genius behind the britpop band the small faces with there catchy singles and mod haircuts then came 1968 were stevie marriott decided to quit the small faces and make a band with ex-herd member/guitarist peter frampton oh yeah forgot to mentioned the small faces shortened there name too the faces got rod stewart on board and had huge success well humble pie made there first two albums with greater success in this country than in the small british isle

peter frampton left humble pie and went and made his breakthough live album "frampton comes alive"

humble went on too make a classic soul/rock materpiece "smokin"

"eat it" and "street rats" with mild success then came 1975 stevie marriott decided too cut a solo album of two halves

5 songs with a british band and 5 with a american band

all are beautiful soulful/rocking/heavy songs..with the late great mickey finn playing guitar on the british side

"I have always been a big Steve Marriot fan. I had this one (or heard it before; I can't remember) a long time ago. It has been some time since this was reissued. I bought it thinking that maybe I could hear some good old post Humble Pie licks. If you like Steve and the work he compiled over the years, you won't be disapointed. Steve actually plays lead on this ablum. The guitar work is a little over bearing at points cause of the way it was recorded, not any deficit on Marriots part. The Blackberrys return for some cuts, and the bands Steve assembled are top notch. The horn work on the American side adds a dimension that I have not heard before. There does seem to be a little stress in Steves' voice at times because of the crap he was going through. I saw him in 1980 in a very small dance hall on 1st Avenue in Seattle. I liked him then and if you feel like I do about this guy then buy it."
Great Marriott!

"One of the better Steve Marriott, after Humble Pie, albums. A must for Marriott fans!"
