"I write this as someone who really enjoys Steve Lawrence's smooth and mellow way with the "Great American Songbook." He has the vocal ability, the musical intuition, and sense of style to make any song an enjoyable listening experience, as long as he is accompanied by the right kind of back-up arrangements. On this CD all of the elements of a good recording fall right into place. Even though the sound is close to 40 years old, it still comes across as first-rate, thanks to someone's skills in the art of digital restoration. I'm glad I got this CD, and I recommend it without reservation."
