Steve Jordan - Exceptional Musician

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The CD El Huracan represents the best of Tejano music with the harder edge of electric music (American Rock and Jazz) Steve Jordan is a master of his instrument. Note the use of the Echoplex and the Leslie "spinning speaker" effects. As a fan of Tejano and Conjunto, this album to me is the moden interpretation of the genre. It is obvious that Steve Jordan expands his tastes and awareness the greater music world and truly synthesizes these into the great Tejano or Tex-Mex boarder music tradition. This is one of the greatest recordings of Tejano - not traditional, but it kicks.Serve a Chiuhuaha Beer and some take out from Taco Cabana! Preferably Barbacoa or Cabrito. If you are not brave enough for this performance, try Talking Heads' True Stories. Steve plays on a great performance of Radio Head."
