CD ReviewsObscure Gem J. Stefanoni | Burlington, NJ | 08/08/2009 (5 out of 5 stars) "A friend at work lent me this and I had no expectations going in, having never heard of Steve Hillage or Gong. When I put the CD in, I knew from the first note (okay...third note) that this was something special. I love some of the prog rock from the early 70s and this ranks up there with some of the best. Steve's guitar playing is incredible and very original although at times I hear hints of John McLaughlin and Robert Fripp from the 80s King Crimson (neither of which is a bad thing!). His song writing ability is also incredible and I love the edginess of the music as well as the trance-like quality. This is something that I don't think I could ever tire of listening to and I am so glad that I came across it after all these years. So go ahead and purchase this...you will not be disappointed!"
