"I found out about Stephen Jay through Weird Al's website and am so glad I did! This album is a gem. The music is fantastic - a mix of African, funk, jazz - it just creates a great listening experience. His lyrics are just as entertaining. I thought I might end up listening to a rather amateurish effort since I had never heard of him before, but I was 100% wrong. The way is album is mixed astounds me everytime I listen to it - which has been very often! I hear something new each time I indulge myself. The instruments used (which are plentiful) weave a wondrous sound. BUY IT! You'll keep this one near your CD player, trust me :-)"

"I just love how unique the sound is. It's funky, blues-y, and contemporary all at the same time. I really was struck by the music, but as I started listening more closely, I was also impressed by the lyrics. Each song has so many layers. You hear something new every time. My favorite songs are 'Why Oh' and 'Air'. I recommend giving them a special listen."
