Album Description
A blend of jazz cultural tradition from a skilled writer and performer who earned his stripes by studying years of classical composition. A very unique piano trio recording. Stephen Anderson earned a Doctorate of Musical Arts (2005) and a Master's of Music (2000) in composition at the University of North Texas. As a composer, his works have been commissioned and/or performed by a variety of artists and ensembles. As a pianist, he has worked with the Lynn Seaton Trio and the One O'Clock Lab Band. Trio includes Joel Fountain, who toured with Maynard Ferguson.
