After writing over one hunrded songs in the course of 2001-2002, Stephane Levy set about recording his debut album. With the aid of former Tricky Woo members Andrew Dickson and Phil Burns (now of Soft Canyon), who acted as both players and co-producers, Stephane began the initial stages of production in the month of June. Recorded in the heart of downtown Montreal, Stephane chose eleven songs from his cannon that were stylistically diverse, but thematically coherent, to form that basis of what would eventually become Kings of this World. Completed at the end of August 2002, Kings of this World features inspiring songwriting, moving performances, and guest appearances from some of the best players in the alternative scene.
