CD ReviewsMbira Legend Timothy D. Nevin | Gainesville, FL USA | 02/11/2006 (4 out of 5 stars) "Stella Chiweshe, from Zimbabwe, is one of the few women mbira masters in the world of music. Her voice is mournful and haunting, the music soothing, magical, and I would even say it has certain healing qualities (psychologically speaking). Of course the music is also highly political (if you speak/understand the Shona language, or know a bit about the history of Zimbabwe's anti-colonialist struggle). She is amazing! I have her "Talking Mbira, Spirits of Liberation" CD which is amazing. I would buy this one too if it wasn't so costly!
