"I bought this Album at CD Baby and hope Amazon will add the sound clips here SOON! Besides being stunningly beautiful, Ms. Black's music is very real, natural and coming from the heart. No one has penned more impressive and heartfelt lyrics. Especially "Could've, Should've, Would've" and the gospel selection "His Father's Eyes." Great lyrics and great music. I love this CD and I'm predicting that you will love it too."

"Stella Black is one of the best songwriters out there. This collection includes some great country songs as well as a nice mix of other genres. For those who understand the emotions behind the lyrics, the album is like reading back through a personal diary. The words, combined with the catchy melodies, are a winning match, perfect for the music library of any country fan."

"Stella Black does not disappoint when it comes to creating spectacular music! The Songwriter is a wonderful blend of contemporary country, soaring ballads and some foot stompers like "Ain't Been No Trash In This Trailer Since You've Been Gone!" My personal favorite is "Toss Of The Dice" - it could easily be a hit on modern country radio. Some country diva needs to snap it up for her next album. Ms. Black writes lyrics and music that really captures the listener's emotions. I wasn't surprised to learn that she has won numerous awards for songwriting. The Latin flavored "Meaning of Love" is another great song. I can easily hear this one on a soundtrack for film or television. Beautiful music in its own right, this CD is the kind of multi-genre gem that you can play for everyone to enjoy."
