"Here is one of those unusual form and function SACDs that not only samples from the wonderful Pentatone library of high rez classical music but also contains the most useful assortment of surround audio test tones, phase checks amd balance controls I've discovered in my ..... years of audio. For anyone interested, the world of surround audio is ever so different from the usual 5.1 video array of speakers separating and on top or below a monitor screen - not to mention more speakers located usually behind and above the sweet spot. The thirty degree off center forward and one hundred-ten degree surround speaker locations all equidistant from the sweet spot are essential for proper sound balance and time delay. With this SACD and a good sound level meter, you are on your way to making your surround audio system truely sing. Happy listening."
