Synopsis

Product Description
Stanton Lanier's sixth album December Peace is a distinctive collection of traditional and original piano melodies offering peace and rest for your holiday season. Recorded at Imaginary Road Studios in Windham County Vermont, this is his third project with Grammy winning producer Will Ackerman, Founder of Windham Hill Records, who produced pianist George Winston's early recordings. December Peace also features award winning guest artists on English horn (Jill Haley), cello (Eugene Friesen), flugel horn (Jeff Oster) and vocals (Noah Wilding). Stanton's passion is to offer peace and rest in a hurried world through scripture inspired instrumental music. A one-time chemist and financial planner, since 2004 he has been following his heart to make a positive difference in today's music culture. The words calming, soothing, and uplifting have become a universal description by a global audience, whether listeners hear a melody or experience a live concert performance with piano, captivating visuals and inspirational stories. Stanton's music is heard across the U.S. on XM Satellite Radio Spa channel and the Music Choice Soundscapes cable channel. It has also been played on Lifetime TV's highest rated show Army Wives, The Weather Channel, NPR, Delilah and Solo Piano Radio. Stanton grew up loving basketball and piano, and wrote his first song at age fourteen. In 2004 he founded Music to Light the World, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, which has a vision called Get Music - Give Hope, where for every album purchased one album is donated to a cancer center or hospital offering hope and healing.
