CD ReviewsAnother great one from a tenor saxophone giant M. J. Lacomme | Sevres, France | 04/05/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "Great straightahead jazz. This album is especially interesting because there is no bassist, Shirley Scott providing the bass lines. Baia is a bright opener with fine drum work from Roy Brooks and a great Turrentine solo. Wee hour theme is a wonderful slow blues. Nobody can touch Turrentine on that. Troubles of the world is a slow, majestic spiritual. This was the first Turrentine-Scott album recorded in 1961."
