Synopsis

Album Description
"No praise can be too high for the playing of Binns, whose fleetness of finger and poetic sensibility are a constant source of delight." - GRAMOPHONE Charles Villiers Stanford (1852-1924) was a staunch representative of the Edwardian school in British composing, long out of fashion but having a comeback in our neo-Romantic era. His lovely choral song "The Blue Bird" has never gone out of style.

Nice Surprise

(4 out of 5 stars)

"This composer is new to me and this recording is quality from the first piece, but my favorite is the Symphony. Just wait until you hear the piano movement in this beautiful and lively symphony. I can't even play a toy piano."
