CD Reviews

If this is what heaven is like, I can't wait to be there!
Pauline J. Albert | Austin, TX USA | 05/01/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"The quality of this CD is outstanding. The clarity and tonality of the choirboys' voices is what one would imagine angels must sound like. The Faure Requiem - In Paradisum selection is one of the most beautiful renditions I've heard. I've just bought a copy of this album for a very sick friend to listen to while undergoing chemotherapy. The calm tranquility inspired by this CD will provide him with healing support."
Magnificent

"this was a find i'll cherish forever, much as the rest of the world should cherish a young mozart bringing the miserere to us all. the tenebrae facta sunt, a piece so difficult to find in such a pristine performance, was exquisite. as afor mentioned, the miserere, for decades shrouded in the sanctum of the vatican, inspires so many emotions i am reluctant to describe its elegant performance. indeed, marlow's adaptation of bach's great work in the first offering (which was one of my favorites to perform in college), was delicious."
Girls not boys

"I would just like to correct something that a previous reviewer wrote - the sopranos on this recording are women, not choir boys. nevertheless, it is beautiful and fantastic. marlow's own compositions are among my favourites as they are not found on other cds."
