SST of The Chosen truly begins his solo career with the impressive full length Stepping Thru Shadows. As a member of The Chosen, he rose to prominence with several 12" releases on labels like Cymbalism, Habit and Ohm Resistance. A full time audio editor and former Full Sail teacher, SST's engineering abilities are off the charts clean, smooth production backed up with total groove workouts. A broad adaptation of neurofunk with Detroit synth sensibilities, and thickly sculpted drums provide the elements for this mixed genre debut. Stepping Thru Shadows is a unique producer perspective combining both dubstep and drum n bass and highlighting the genuine similarities in their construction and form. The album features Planet of the Drums vocalist J Messinian and NY shoegaze rockers The Project Pale.
