My Favorite Album

"Squint is an awesome still independent band. Their type of music is hard to describe. Some describe it as pop-punk, but that brings up images of bands like Blink 182, Goo Charlotte, etc... but that's not really their sound. They are closer to rock and roll. Most of these songs are about relationships, but provide keen insight and poetry not seen in most music today. From the awesome guitar riff of Anthem for Closure, to the somewhat goofy postergirl ("Brown eyes, blue hair and a red vest") to the spooky stalker anthem "Shadow Shadow" to the touching "Unfinished" this is a solid album from start to finish. I love each and every song and think most people will, too when they hear this album."

"A friend turned me onto Squint several months ago and I didn't take the time to fully listen to the album. By happenstance, I stumbled onto the music again and decided to listen through the entire album and see what I was missing. Since I listened to the cd that day, I can't count the number of times I have repeated the entire cd and hummed lyrics and choruses of certain songs.

Squint sounds familiar but rips off no one. They have original and well written songs that meld with the Guitar and Drum beats perfectly. You will enjoy this album. My only complaint is that they aren't touring anywhere near me."
