Synopsis

Nothing breaches the borders of Industrial Land here. A typical late-'80s Wax Trax! album, it's got all you'd expect from a proper industrial band: distorted vocals, foreboding moods, and jackhammer rhythms. This album was created just as MIDI technology was becoming accessible to most synth composers, so one must admire the technical fortitude required to create an album such as this. However, it is not particularly memorable music. --Beth Bessmer

Industrial Dance Music before its time
12/22/1998
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Songs like "Check it Out" and "Scandinavian Bellydance" surge with great industrial beat. If you like industrial dance you'll like this album. "Rigor Mortis" is the true anthem of underground club dance. Its remarkable its staying power through the years. It ranks with "Headhunter" - Front 242 and "Head Like a Hole" - Nine Inch Nails for shear power and edgy beat. Also check out "Mambo Witch" not found on this album but can be found as import EP."
