Synopsis

Album Description
G-Unit Superstar Spider Loc was first discovered by Suge Knight but refused six different deals offered by the rap kingpin. In September 2004, Spider Loc met rapper Young Buck in Atlanta and did some acapella rapping for him. A week later in Los Angeles, Young Buck introduced him to 50 Cent on the set of the "Shorty Wanna Ride" video, and he performed the same freestyle. After four months, the rapper was offered a position with 50 Cent's G-Unit. He has since been featured on many G-Unit mixtapes such as G-Unit Radio Part 18 - Rags To Riches where Spider Loc was the main artist of the mixtape and has also released his own mixtape with G-Unit West, titled Bangadoshish (LA Kings), which featured artists Young Buck, Big Syke (from Thug Life), 50 Cent and Olivia. This album was originally slated for a 2007 G-Unit release. Spider Loc was at the Spike TV Video Game Awards, where he and 50 Cent shared the award for best original song in a video game (50 Cent's "Maybe We Crazy" for 50 Cent: Bulletproof, and Spider Loc for his song "When I Get Angry" from Madden NFL 06). This album features producers such as Sha Money XL, and Hi-Tek as well as the smash hti Blu-Tiful World. There has been massive anticipation of the release of Spider?s debut album. This is sure to give the fans everything they have been waiting for.

Spider Loc - The West Kept Secret: The Prequel
Constant | Vancouver, BC Canada | 09/11/2007
(3 out of 5 stars)

"Spider Loc (A.K.A. Curtis Norvell Williams) drops an EP album with "West Kept Secret: The Prequel"(2007). The Cali G-Unit Rapper provides a fifteen track release featuring guest appearances from E-Note, Ice Cube, L.O.V.E., Papa Smurf & Piper. After the intro Spider gets things started on the Da Riffs produced upbeat standout & first single "Blutiful World" feat. E-Note, Spider Loc delivers a cut dedicated to the colors of the Crip nation, while singer E-Note delivers a smooth hook. Ice Cube makes a good appearance on the thugged out "Big Blacc Boots". Spider Loc lets it be known that he will "Get Right Down" singing and rhyming on a solid track, while providing a cruising cut with "Sometimes" talking to the ladies. Spider Loc collaborates with E-Note again on introspective mellow contributions "All I know" & "Look At Me". Spider loc reps himself and talks to the fans and haters on "Make You Love Me", dropping lines like "My life is a real spinoff of Juice". Loc looks to get paid on tracks like "Russ" & "Hustle to Come Up", singing his own chorus on the later addition. The production to "Hold On" is dope, Spider drops powerful lines "I might never see 30 though" talking about living the trife life and hustling to make a living. Spider reps G-Unit and the West Coast with pride on the short "Close to the Edge" which is laced with a tight instrumental. Spider Loc & female singer L.O.V.E. collaborate for a track about the ups and downs of a relationship on "Cry And Cry". The album closes off with the "Blutiful World" (Remix) feat. Papa Smurf, Piper & E-Note this version features different vocals and production. What's special about this last joint is Spider Loc a Crip collaborates with Papa Smurf who reps the Blood's "Red" & Piper whos reps "Purple" which may be linked to the Grape Street Crips or the concept that blue and red together makes purple. My favorite track on this release is the single and the remix of "Blutiful World". Spider Loc delivers a solid independent album with "The West Kept Secret: The Prequel"."
UNKNOWN CLASSIC

(4 out of 5 stars)

"THIS CD IS BANG'N. AFTER I HEARD IT THE SECOND TIME, IT REALY STARTED TO CLICK, THE BEATS, THE VOLCALS, THE MELODY, EVERYTHING CAME TOGETHER. MOST OF THE SONGS ARE GOOD, THE ONE W/ICE CUBE IS A CLASSIC, CUBE IS ON POINT ON THAT SONG. THE FEW GUEST HE HAS ON THE CD ARE HOT, NOT REALY KNOWN, BUT THEY BLEND IN JUST FINE. THERE ARE NO DR. DRE BEATS HERE, BUT THE BEATS ARE STILL BANG'N. THE BAD THING IS MOST OF THE SONGS ARE SHORT. THIS IS A UNKNOWN CLASSIC. LIKE B.G. KNOCC OUT AND DREASTA, AND A FEW OTHERS, IN ABOUT FIVE TO SIX YEARS THIS CD WILL COST YOU $40 TO $50, YOU'LL SEE.

YOU CAN FIND THIS CD AT SOME BEST BUY STORES. (THEY SELL IT THE CHEAPEST BRAND NEW) FYE ECT. PICK IT UP!!!"
