CD Reviews

Nice album from Spice 1... and others
G$ | B-More, MD | 03/05/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"This is really just a re-release of the Spice 1 & Bad Boy "NTA: National Thug Associaition" album from a few years ago, just this one has a few more songs on it. This is about the 20th album, I have that Spice has been a part of (many solos, 2 group album with MC Eiht, the Criminalz group album, 2 "Hits" album, and 3 compilations he put out), and of all those not one has a rating under 4 stars (2 just barely 4 stars and maybe, just maybe 3.5 stars). The man is one of the all time greats in hip-hop and he continues to impress me. On this one you get 17 songs (16 really, 1 is just a remix with a slightly different beat), you get 5 ok songs and the rest are good, some being real good but no classics. Guests are on every song (mostly ones I haven't heard of), the only down part of the album (Bad Boy is on 12 of the 17, he's decent but that's alot for 1 guest). Production is very impressive and good or better on probably about 75% of the songs, and handled entirely by Hatchet.
