CD Reviews

Slammin, This is Spice's long needed come back album
west | seattle, Wa United States | 09/13/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I have respected spice since day one and his albums were crackin back in the day but after Bosalini he started to change styles and it was sounding worse after every release. Spiceberg Slim was wack and after that I thought that I might hesitate with this album but I gave it a chance and it was very werth my time. Spice burns these tracks with fire I havnt seen him spit since the mid 90's. His insturmentation has improved. I dare say this is better than every album except 1990-sick. Go get this and find out why the east coast can't touch the vets we have on the west."
Best Rap Album of the Millenium. Instant Classic
west | 06/08/2004
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Instant Classic. What more can I say? It's just straight slappin! If you're a fan of rap you'll love this cd. The beats are just mind blowing. The only cd with comparable quality beats is probably Dr. Dre 2001. And Spice 1 brings the heat with his thugged out yet profound lyrics giving the listeners an inside perspective of life on the streets. And the trademark Spiggity flow is intact. If any of you out there are just being introduced to Spice for the first time this is the album to buy. Also, long-time fans will realize what a great cd this is. Any fans of 2pac, Dre, or Snoop will really like this cd.
Here's a song by song breakdown:1. Work It Tonite

Another good album from Spice 1
G$ | B-More, MD | 11/08/2004
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Spice 1 comes back once more with another good solo album. Though not his best to date (I have all his solo albums, a few group albums, and a few of his compilations), it is still a good album and a must have for fans. Production is done by a number of people, Battlecat, Big Raj, Cold Fusion, Rahxx & Iklektix, Buddah, Spice 1, and Trev Jr. and it's pretty good. This was released independantly so the production quality is not what he has had on his previous albums but s still good. Features a few appearances and an old unreleased song f/ 2Pac. Has only one weak track, other than that you can listen straight through without disappointment other than it has no classic like most of his albums.
