Traffic Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music Custom Marketing Group is proud to announce the re-release of Special Ed's debut full length Youngest In Charge. Originally released on Profile records in 1989, Youngest In Charge boasts a track list that includes such Hip Hop classics as "I Got It Made", "Taxing" and "Think About It "(remember the video with the hovercraft?). The album, produced entirely by Howie "Hitman" Tee, was released when Ed was just 16! This expanded reissue features eight tracks previously not available on CD and is complimented perfectly with a 16 page booklet featuring extensive liner notes from Brian Colemen (author of Rakim Told Me and Check The Technique). The booklet also includes alternative images from the original photo shoot provided by the original photographer Robert Lewis. This release is just the first in a series of reissues scheduled for 2009 by Traffic Entertainment in partnership with Sony Music Custom Marketing Group!

"This album is top tier. It really is a shame that because this album didn't drop until the end of the golden age of rap that it tends to be overlooked. This album predates the ugliness that rap has become. The bragadocio that is the essence of Hip Hop is present minus the violent, overly compensative arrogance of the "Clear Channel" rappers. Production and presentation are a blend of old school East Coast and late 80's-90's West. Smart, humorous Lyrics highlight this eclectic masterpiece. I can't say enough about this album. This album belongs in the pantheon of rap albums, recorded by a 15 year old artist decades ahead of his time. This album represents an art form in its final throws of genius, a final entry in the journal of a lost generation."
