CD Reviews

The Fury!
B. Moasser | Gaithersburg, MD | 12/14/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Spawn of Possession have done it again with an unbelievable album. These guys are one of the best technical brutal death metal bands out there and they've followed-up their masterpiece, Cabinet, with the mind-bending Noctambulant. In my opinion the musicianship and creativity combined with speed and aggression make Noctambulant one of the best albums of 2007. Noctambulant is musically more complex than Cabinet, with better production. If you enjoy brutal technical death metal, however, you need to have both Noctambulant and Cabinet in your collection. Brutal Death compares the Spawn style to Immolation and Suffocation and I can't agree more. Overall, I place Spawn of Possession up there with Decrepit Birth, Psycroptic, Necrophagist and Decapitated (R.I.P. Vitek) as the most exciting bands out there."
Awesome technical death metal !
Brutal Death | Australia | 11/15/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"These guys are awesome - it's just pure, brutal technical death metal. This album is a progression from "Cabinet" their earlier release and they seem to have ramped up the "technical" aspect of their musicianship without sacrificing the heaviness and brutality of their first title. I guess if I were to compare their sound to other bands, maybe a fusion of Immolation and Suffocation...? If your a fan of heavy technical death metal with awesome growling vocals, you should probably give these guys a listen."
