"Get ready for the swing era and the happy-go-lucky territory that goes with it..."Got Swing", featuring the South City Voices from Atlanta make this a not-to-be-passed-up album for any lover of swing...unmatched harmonious vocals and get-your-body moving music...all fresh and making them their own with hip arrangements and performances by Rebecca Windham, Heather Jones, Don Discenza and Derk Simonson who make up the VOICES.
Voices blending for the most part are "standards" sung in a new way...quartet use their Voices to emulate various jazz instruments...infectuous jazz compositions "STRAIGHTEN UP AND FLY RIGHT", Nat Cole wrote this classic and the Voices lend their talent with a contagious Morgan Ames arrangement..."TRAIN MEDLEY: CHOO CHOO CH' BOOGIE, TAKE THE "A" TRAIN, CHATTANOOGA CHOO CHOO", guaranteed to get your heart rate up there..."ROUTE 66", a favorite Bobby Troup tune, with a killer arrangement by Don Discenza..."IT DON'T MEAN A THING IF IT AIN'T GOT THAT SWING", Duke Ellington classic with an incredible rhythmic delivery..."NATURE BOY", beautiful mesmerizing arrangement and performed so well by the entire ensemble..."AIN'T MISBEHAVIN", you'll never get this close to near perfection..."MOONGLOW", gorgeous vocals mixed with blends of counter melodies give out beautiful vibes, their talent is simply amazing...this is a must have for any jazz and big band collection, not to mention the Latin Medley segment that will leave you wanting more.
