"SoulStice is a conscious rapper that has been floating around the underground for some time. I don't remember where exactly I heard of him; all I can say is that after I listened to his latest album Dead Letter Perfect, I wish I'd picked it up YESTERDAY.

Some people might want to label SoulStice as trip-hop, but I think his music is pretty straightforward. The production is dope enough, and SoulStice himself never runs out of innovative things to say, even when it comes to otherwise played-out subject matter like a political song ("World's on Fire") or a we-are-the-world song ("Still Love"). And "Get It Right" is aptly titled, because Oddisee's rapping has definitely improved (but "Be Perfect" is also aptly titled).

In fact, the whole album is perfect. I don't think Dead Letter Perfect is available in the U.S. yet, but at any rate, if you've never heard of SoulStice, it's time to find out about him because his album deserves nothing less than heavy rotation.

"well some people maybe already know the formation 'wade waters'. soulstice is one half of wade waters and with this piece of music he proves that he can easily deliver an album on his own. beats are very instrumental but still got that underground boom bap touch. the lyrics are about the real live and are usually very personal.

if you like to sit down and listen through a whole album without skipping bad tracks you should definitely get soulstice-dead letter perfect."
