German Transexxual Vampire with a Crowley connection.

"Anna Varney (a transexxual introvert) is the lead singer and primary composer of Sopor Aeternus And The Ensamble Of Shadows. Most of the lyrics on this album are in english but some are also in german. The name of this album (Es Riten Die Toten So Schnell wich translates into english The Vampire Sucking At His Own Vein) is by far one of the darkest albums by this band. Make no mistake about it, Sopor Aeternus are a goth band....but not goth like The Cure and not goth like Marilyn Manson either. Think Dead Can Dance....only evil. That's probably the best way to describe this music...it's evil sounding Dead Can Dance. This is some really dark, dark, dark, stuff here.....a must have for underground goth types and eccentric music collectors."
