Carruseles Do It Again
B. Hiley | 06/15/2000
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you did not buy their last album Heavy salsa then shame on you. Now is the time to catch up on what you have been missing. There are more medleys on this CD which are all up to the standard of Mosaico Boogaloo. No wonder this CD went #1 in the American latin charts. The musical content is brilliant. Just what salsa lovers and dancers need to boost their collection. A superb CD."
SONORA CARRUSELES OFFERS UP A SALSA DURA DELIGHT
Carlos Suarez | MIAMI,FL. | 09/25/2000
(4 out of 5 stars)

"ARTIST: SONORA CARRUSELES TITLE: SALSA BRAVA CON TODOS LOS HIERROS2000 RELEASE FROM THIS "SALSA DURA" ORCHESTRA HAILING FROM COLOMBIA. THIS RECORDING FEATURES THE DISTINCTIVE SONERO VOCALS OF HAROLD PELAEZ ON "QUE SUENE MI CAMPANA", A STRAIGHT AHEAD DANCE FLOOR BURNER WRITTEN BY SALSA SONGSMITH DIEGO GALE THAT REMINDS THE LISTENER OF THE BEST OF HECTOR LAVOE. ALSO FEATURED IS A SALSA/GUAGUANCO TRACK SUNG BY THE VERY UNDERRATED, ISMAEL RIVERA INFLUENCED VOCALIST, GABINO PAMPINI. THIS SONG IS FULL OF "TUMBAO" ENERGY FROM THE OPENING BARS THROUGH ITS HORN AND CHORUS DRIVEN "MONTUNOS". IN THIS SESSION, SONORA CARRUSELES TACKLES SOME SALSA CLASSICS FROM THE GOLDEN DAYS IN MEDLEY FORM, THE BEST OF WHICH IS "MOSAICO 1"(FEATURING SNIPPETS FROM "PACHANGA BRAVA" WRITTEN BY LEGENDARY SINGER JIMMY SABATER OF JOE CUBA'S GROUP AND "PAL 23" BY RAY PEREZ). THIS IS A VERY FINE RECORDING IN THE TRADITIONAL COLOMBIAN SALSA GROOVE THAT IS SPEARHEADED BY GRUPO NICHE, JOE ARROYO AND GRUPO GUAYACAN. SONORA CARRUSELES CAN BE ADDED TO THIS PRESTIGIOUS LIST ON THE STRENGTH OF THEIR RECENT RECORDINGS. A MUST FOR DANCERS AND THE SERIOUS SALSA FAN!"
"WOW, what a Find!"

"I'm a new comer to this extremely talented group. Their musical arrangement and performance are Stella. The group at times takes you from a classical approach and creatively bridges you into salsa, cumbia and many other hot rhythms. Their musical timing and changes are creatively smart and enjoyable.
These guys can cook! WOW, what a find!
I'm pleasantly hooked on Sonora Carruseles "Con Todos Los Hierros"
The 12 songs featured on this album are brilliantly arranged musically and vocally.
This is a first class production from a deep in the pocket orchestra. Wow, what an album!
I would rate this a must have CD for all who love very well done spicy hot dance music,
I know this CD will leave you thinking about hearing it again, it does it to me! What a nice feeling!
This is the kind of album that Salsa lovers and dancers are always looking for but rarely find. This is indeed a treasure!
I have to end this review because I want to listen to this CD again an again an again!"
