This was recorded during the prime of Mr. Souzay's long career and he was in great voice. What is remarkable is not only his mastery of the different languages involved, but how he gives such meaning and clarity to each song presented. He sings here in a multitude of languages, not just French, German and Italian, but also Gaelic, Swedish, Russian, and a host of others. He interprets each song to masterful effect, from the
