"
The global admiration around Schubert's grandness may be established since his first centennial, in 1928, but if we scarcely scrutinize around famous artists who had the noblesse to admit the enormous legacy of his genius, we should name Robert Schumann, Franz Liszt, Hans von Bullow, Moscheles; and among his most excel biographers Kreisle von Hellborn in 1865: "Schubert's pianoforte music... in its totality, it is high artistic value, and ranks among the most important contribution to music of this description" and then in 1905 by Edmoundstone Duncan: "It would seem that neither in its own day nor in ours, have Schubert's compositions been thoroughly appreciated..."

But for us it's absolute normal to consider him as one of the greatest composers ever born, and it results frequently incomprehensible to imagine how only three of his Sonatas were published during g his lifetime, twenty five years more to publish the rest of his eight sonatas and sixty years to release his integral edition including the unfinished ones.

So, we should be regard ourselves fortunate to make click and acquire the complete edition of his quartets, symphonies or piano sonatas, although it's well known the reduced number of music lovers around the world of his music.

The elusive modulations, incorporeal harmonies and spectral environment o fhis last sonatas may be totally underestimated or even worst, overlooked if we don't take a serious analysis of the significance of the entire implications of Romantic movement meant.

In this sense this was for Schubert's music , a terrible disgrace, due the diffusion of his music was made after six generations and besides a set of diverse artistic manifestations; romanticism, late Romanticism, Impressionism, appearing when new expressive sonorities were fashionable (Berg, Schoenberg, Webern) , these conditions were not certainly the most propitious but that's we received and we must face it.

Fortunately for us, there have been pianist enrooted under the superior musical vision, leaving aside the fashionable composers or tendencies and have assumed the challenge and risk that implies.

That is the main reason for you to acquire this remarkable album because Barenboim is narrowly linked to this reduced number of artists that conceives the music as a whole, and remarks the most remarkable and worthy to take into account aspects about Schubert's grandness.
