I was pleasantly surprised to find that Jasmine had unearthed some broadcasts and other previously unreleased tunes that show Christy's development from "Anita O'Day's replacement" to a top band singer ready to go out on her own -- as O'Day had done in 1945. The early versions of songs that became her solo hits ("Willow Weep for Me," "September Song," "Lonely Woman," "How High the Moon" and "Lonesome Road") are special bonuses on this CD. No Christy collector can be without it."
