"Some music is so funky you can smell it. If you breathe in, you can actually smell the wretched grooves. Before you listen to "What About the People" you better get some nose clips because you're about to have skull party. Smilin' Myron hoses you with original funk, seasoned with Cuban rhythms, powerful bass and guitar, and mind-numbing grooves. "Everyday" and ""Johnny" are super funky, and just to keep your hips off guard, Myron plunges into heavy Latin grooves on the tunes "Apple Juice" and "Tuna Ritz.""
This is a great CD

"I know funk, jazz, rock&roll and latin/carribean music fans who love these tunes... the rythms and percussion get everybody's feet moving."
Now that's good Gumbo!

"The Myron's "What About the People", combines heavy funk, latin grooves, and down home Southwest Louisiana flavor, to literally make a musical gumbo.Highlights include "The Marksman", with a punishing bass line from bassist Mark Pero and as the kids say "fat" rhythm by guitarist Sam Hotchkiss. "Johnny" features Tim Guarisco with crunchy guitar licks and a tastey back beat by drummer Andreas Argenti.I like to let the rest of the album speak for itself. In the words of Wilfred Brimley, "Just listen, it's good"."
Great New Orleans funk and more.

"Excellent original music from one of New Orleans best funk groups. If you like The Meters, Phish or Blues Traveler you need to buy this disk."
