CD Reviews

Slamming alternative metal
05/13/2003
(5 out of 5 stars)

"If you like Godsmack but you are dissapointed with the last two releases check out Slur. Slur comes complete with killer guitar riffs, vocals that range from 80's influenced singing to nu-metal hollaring and a great mix that cranks out at loud volumes. Oh and guitar solos which seem to be extinct these days. Check out the first single Who I Am, it is all over radio right now you cannot miss it."
Great band... different sound

"I saw these guys live and loved their music... they ROCK! So I bought their cd and it's great. It has it's own style instead of sounding like everything else on the radio these days... The singers voice is also unique to the sound-alike bands out right now so it's a nice change of pace."
Great new rock from a refreshing new band

"FINALLY! New music worth listening to! This band really rocks. The sound is so tight, it's impressive. The CD is mixed so well, you can actually hear the indivudual instruments as the guitars scream and the drums [are great]. And the vocal stylings are so unique from song to song that you wonder if it is indeed the same singer. I have listened to this CD a million times over and I've yet to grow tired of it. Their first release, "Who I Am", is fast paced and tearing up the music charts, but equally impressive are "Unaware" (with its warped guitar sounds and great drum licks),"No More", "SOB", "Horrid", InDependence", and "Pain", just to name a few of my favorites. "Lost" is a very lovely ballad also. So, if you're looking for some fresh new rock, pick up Slur's InDependence CD. You'll love every minute of it and go away wanting more."
