His first solo album is a Stonsey mix of blues, crunch, and loneliness. Very Keith Richardish but if you dig a little deeper, he is referencing his time with Westerberg and the Replacements also. "Taken on the Chin" is incredible, "Ain't exactly Good" is a dig at a new pop star...and is the best Stones song in the last 20 years they never wrote. Light a cig, crack a beer, and let Slim throw some slide at you - you will feel dirty in a good way..."
