A Complete and Utter Waste of Plastic! Avoid At All Costs!
Frederick Baptist | Singapore | 06/01/2007
(1 out of 5 stars)

"How something that is advertised to be a 24 Bit remaster from 2007 can sound so terrible is something that beggars belief! Every single track has very low volume levels and when you turn up the volume, you get extremely muddy sound and nothing like I remembered hits like "Run Run Away" and "My O My" sounding like on the cassette I had years back. You'd think any "remastered" version should at least sound as good as the original master but that's not what you get here. The gentleman credited with doing the mastering on this: Yoshiro Kuzumaki should clean his ears out or look for another job. The very thin, low quality cardboard used and the overall design of this mini-lp replica sleeve version of this album is very poor despite the lyrics being printed on the inner sleeve and the 3 bonus tracks in addition to sounding even worse than the main course are forgettable live tracks as well. I struggle to find any redeeming factors for this version and indeed the only album that comes close to sounding as terribly mastered as this one is probably the mlps release of "Aqualung" by Jethro Tull.

You have been advised; give this one a very, very wide berth at least until they truly do a good remastering job so that you get a quality of sound that is worthy of the hefty price tag they've put on this baby.

Highly NOT recommended!"
