Sivuca Strikes Back!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Sivuca is one of the most respected brazilian artists. Many of the great brazilian musicists refer to him as "Master Maestro".As an albine child he could't face the sun and work ours with the others. That's when he used to lay down on a nice shade, listening to birds and creating his first notes.Always with the great company of Glorinha Gadelha, his wife and manager, Sivuca keeps playing and creating and re-creating the imaginable. This album brings back his sweet melody and shows us all the influences the brazilian music faces (mãe áfrica). It brings back again all his variaty of rhytms, mixing baião, with bossa-nova, with and african toons. It's great to see him in his 70's and still having fun and playing with his notes as a little child. Listening to this album is comprehending a lot more, what the brazilian music is all about. Thanks "Mestre Maestro"!"
