A Worthy Installment

"I first heard of Sing It Loud when the bassist approached me at Warped Tour and asked me to listen to one of their songs. I was instantly hooked. Did they sound like every other pop-rock band ? Yes without a doubt. But they have a sound that's their own even if it's very small.

Let's get to the album though. The album starts out with "Sugar Sweet" which reminds me of A Rocket to the Moon, We The Kings, and The Maine all in one. The lyrics are just as the song describes and it's actually a bummer this song is the intro to the album because it's very misleading. Though, one of the redeeming factors in this song is the upbeat punk beat that kicks in during the second verse. As everyone knows, Sing It Loud prides themselves on having a punk feeling to the music and this new album keeps it there. The rest of the album falls into play nicely. Each song is relatively different from the last with catchy a chorus every time. Things slow down for a bit around track 7 with "Believe in Me" but I personally love the song. It has a beautiful guitar and very strong lyrics from Sing it Loud.

It's clear that the singer (Pat Brown) has tremendous talent and this album really helps showcase it. The guitar is nothing to write home about. But the drums and bass pop out more than most pop-rock bands. The sound is purely a summer mix of fun with sugary sweet lyrics to get those 14 year old girls crazy but also gives you an entertaining afternoon if you're looking for some nice chill music.

Overall this album is just a smooth, nicely produced, piece of pop-rock. Standout tracks to me include "Addicted to When You're Gone" " Believe In Me" and "Light it Up." If you are a fan of Sing it Loud I'm sure you will recognize their progression and with this more mainstream pop feeling maybe even convert a few new fans."
