CD Reviews

The best melodic metal vocalist.

"I'm gonna say it and I think it's true. D.C. Cooper has the range to sing any style he wants to an Silent Force should be as well known as a Sonata Artica or Kamelot. He can be gruff when he wants, even adding a little Rob Halford rasp when it fits, yet smooth as silk too. If you like the aforementioned bands or any other melodic metal band you owe it to yourself to check these guys out. Tons of tasty riffs, keyboards are not overdone and the production keeps things tight and punchy. Infatuator is my favorite album by these guys but everything by them is killer, better then anything i've heard him sing on before. I think Cooper has the elements behind him that make him stand out and his voice is the real treat on this one. It makes Silent Force kings in the melodic metal world."
DC Cooper is a Silent Force!

"DC Cooper the singer from Royal Hunt kills on this cd ( and the other Silent Force cd's ) The melodies, guitars and musicianship is excellent. The production is top quality, every nuance is heard, but the real thrill is DC Coopers singing. If your a fan of Power Metal bands and just plain Heavy Metal this cd is for you..worth the purchase."

"man i love silent force. dc cooper is to me one of the best vocalist out there and no one can sing like him. some other greats are lance king and john west. and alexander beyroot(spelled wrong) is a killer guitarist. if you like guitarist like manni schmidt of grave digger and viktor smolski of rage then you will love alex's playing. any way on to the songs. like the last album worlds apart this cd is extremely catchy and mellodic and full of crunchy riffs. worlds apart is one of my 10 favorite cds of all time and i did not think they would ever be able to make another album as good as it. this cd is not as good as worlds apart but is dang close. this cd is a force of its own and a killer come back. silent force have the ability to be one of power metals mainstays and i hope they put out alot more albums. some awesome ballads on this cd and some killer anthems. this cd is very diverse and full of memorable songs that catch you from the first listen and that is what i love about these guys, if it is a silent force album then i know right then that it is going to be awesome. so check this out and if you do not own worlds apart then you better get it. any metallian that loves catchy choruses and screaming guitars will without doubt love this and all of silent forces albums, hell get all 4 of their cd's. i some times wonder why the name of the band is silent force, it is a cool name but when their cds are in my player their is nothing silent about it. your friend in metal brandon whitson, 25 of north carolina"
