Taking deep influence from the dearly departed Pantera and other southern sons, and cross-breeding it with their authentic, American Roots, "of mountains & moonshine" takes one on a well rounded journey of the culture, Pride, aspirations and frustrations of the deep South. This record is sure to smash stereotypes as Well as radio and sales charts. Heavy rockers, Infectious, memorable moshy riffage and moving Ballads.

CD Reviews

Old Sound, But New Energy!
T. Amann | Charlotte, NC USA | 10/08/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"If you are a fan of corrosion of conformity, pantera, or southern rock, this is for you. The early part of the album is a little rough sounding(not good, or I have heard this before), but as it goes on it gets stronger and stronger. The talent is there to be an awesome group for years to come."
Great album!
G. Martin | Rock Hill SC | 10/10/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"This album is a beast! A must have for anyone that is a fan of Pantera, Eyehategod, Crowbar, Hawgjaw, COC etc.

Brutal, southern metal at it's best."
Southern Metal at its best
Chris | St. Louis, MO | 12/23/2009
(4 out of 5 stars)

"I have the two EPs that precluded this album and they rock!

However, after finally being able to record in a real studio with all of its bells and whistles, this full length crushes your skull and will make you bang your head throughout its entirety.

Comparisons in metal are a dime a dozen, but, if I had to make one I would say that this album sounds like the heaviest parts of DOWN with the heaviest vocals from Phil while he was in Pantera. But, do not think for a second that any of this material is rehashed or redundant. This album is full of non-stop metal with a prevalent Southern tinge.

If you like your metal heavy, loud, fast, and perhaps with a flavor of the South, them immediately buy this album! I've conversed a few times with the lead singer / songwriter Seth on myspace before and he is nothing but a stand-up guy! Buy this album and enjoy the magic that is The Sign of the Southern Cross."
