"After providing a number of songs (including the opening theme) for the 2003 anime D.N.Angel, teen artist Miyamoto Shunichi got to work on his first full album, For Someone Needs Love.



One can listen to every song on this album continuously and derive enjoyment. You could be an avid listener or just sit back and play this in the background. The style of Miyamoto's music is part jazz, part piano, and part lounge, which means it's soft and quiet. The fastest-paced songs involve a bit of conga drum percussion, but that's about it.



The songs contained in the CD are all quite long (~5min & up) and are actually quite intriguing. The first song, for example, as it sounds like a perfect meld of two completely different, yet alternating songs. The whole album is basically a showcase for 19-year old Miyamoto's skills as a musician. Vocals are not exactly opera-worthy, but are certainly better than those of cookie-cutter boybands. (Miyamoto probably received simultaneous voice and instrument training while this album was in production) There are a couple of songs in the middle that sound (dare i say) cheap, and suitable for playing in the lounge of a 2-star Vegas joint (a la Captain and Tenneille). That discomfort aside, however, even those songs can be quite enjoyable. Among the glitz and glamour of Japanese pop that dominates the image of Japanese export music, Miyamoto Shunichi is a true musician who is able to compose and perform beautiful music at a relatively young age. This guy has a future in the music business. FSNL is highly recommended."

"Shunichi miyamoto is brilliant my absolute favorite singer and i favor many i am only fourteen years old but what really caught my attention to shunichi's voice was a dnangel dvd (anime) i heard a song of his called if i can be with you and it spoke out to me i had so much in common with the lyrics and the emotion put forth was amamzing that was on a cd called Anges but the theme is on this cd and it's wonderful such emotion i am very impressed and i urge all to buy a copy of shunichi's cd's they're truly amazing."
