Lashunda Nicole Flowers, better known as SHUNDA K, came to prominence as the leader of hip-hop group Yo! Majesty (Domino Records), landing her on the NME's "Cool List" and paving the way for the launch of her career as a solo artist. Noted for her both spiritual and sexually explicit lyrics, SHUNDA K's first official solo release, the "Here I Am To Save The World" maxi-single, follows several underground solo EPs and two internet only mixtapes that have been downloaded thousands of times each to date. On "Here I Am To Save The World," SHUNDA K collaborates with Cindy Wonderful, vocalist of the Berlin-based electropop group, Scream Club. Downtempo, dance floor and rock remixes are provided by up and coming producers Scripts `N Screwz (St. Louis), Nite Club (Brooklyn) and The New Loud (Milwaukee). These reinterpretations of "Here I Am To Save The World" are as potent as the original and keep SHUNDA K crossing genre lines, as always. While touring the globe with Yo! Majesty in 2008 and 2009, SHUNDA K maintained a non-stop pace of collaborations in the studio and on-stage, logging time with producers and lyricists from around the world. The results of these sessions are now being made public and the "Here I Am To Save The World" maxi-single is just a taste of what is to come on SHUNDA K's debut solo album The Most Wanted due for release in early 2011.
