An excellent 7th....

"Rudolf Barshai is a Shostakovich expert with all the meaning of the word. He knew the composer and all his tempos are well judged. What surprised me was the playing of the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie. An orchestra made by young musicians, but still its' sound is excellent and polished as you would expect from any of the major orchestras. Being a live performance adds extra weight to the interpretation making it what I believe to be the best 7th in the market. 5 stars all the way....."
